Edge to Edge Digital Design Quilting
For the Edge to Edge digital designs, I charge 2 cents per square inch. If the design is dense, then the charge is 2.5 cents per square inch.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .02 = $96.
Example for a dense pattern: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches.
60" x 80" = 4800 x .025 = $120
My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.
Batting
If you would like for me to provide the batting, I stock the following:
-Quilters Dream (Natural 80/20 Select Batting - Midloft) batting ($0.40 per inch)
-Warm and White Cotton Batting - ($0.36 per inch)
-I can also order other batting if preferred, such as bamboo or wool.
The batting I stock is on a 93" width roll. I will only use what is needed for the quilt (smallest side + a 6" margin) and the charge is per inch. For example if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 66 inches of the batting of your choice.
For example, if your batting size is 66" width, for Quilters Dream Natural 80/20 Select, the price would be $26.
If you purchase batting from me, the State of Florida requires a 7% sales tax (for in state purchases. )
Thread
I stock both Glide #40 in various colors and Superior Magnifico #40 (White) threads. I don't charge any extra fees for thread use, it's included in your square inch price.
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color.
Pantograph Designs
I want you to LOVE your finished quilt. Let's work together to select the design that is appropriate for the color and theme of your quilt and the intended use of the quilt. I have many designs in my pantograph library, but if you know of one I do not have, I will be glad to purchase and split the cost with you. See my Available Designs page for the pantographs currently available.
If you would prefer to search for a design that I do not have, the links below are to several sites where designs can be purchased. I would be happy to split the cost with you.
Photography
I'm not a professional photographer but I do my best to take "nice" photos. Upon completion of the quilting, I will take photos of your quilt and then text/email you those images to use however you would like. I'd just ask that you credit me for the photo and/or quilting if posting publicly. This extra service is included in your square inch price.
Shipping
Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Florida, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $100 of insurance and a tracking number. If desired, I can include additional insurance at the current rate and add the amount to your invoice. It is a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but I don't require it.
Payment
After the work is complete, I will invoice you to include the edge to edge quilting, batting and tax if purchased, and shipping if appropriate. I really do appreciate timely payments as that enables me to mail your project(s) back to you right away or make arrangements to pick up locally.
